about

This is one of the songs that actually landed in the drawer first... I kinda thought it was too "preachy" to publish it in a way.
But the other day I read another one of those lovely articles that informs you about how an area in Syria has been bombed again and almost 200 children were killed.
I suddenly remembered the song, played it to a close friend and decided to put it out there after all.

I know so many believe "there has always been war and there will always be war and violence". I would like to challenge you to question this. I am convinced that in the long run humanity is destined to live without any form of violence and I know that it is just a matter of aquiring a language of compassion and conflict resolution tools (preferably from a very early age).
I guess it is a long way but the first step is to realise that peace IS possible (and highly necessary) and to start acting accordingly.

Hugs, Daniel

lyrics

News?

Instead of fighting over who is right
Could we build a life for us all to thrive?
Don't you know that there are other ways
Of solving conflicts nowadays?

Oh how I wish that in my lifetime
Peace could be achieved
Oh how I wish we would ultimately
Be set free

'Cos whatever you may gain through violence
Can only ever be maintained through violence
'Cos whatever you may gain through violence
will come around to you as violence
